The Johnson Level 40-6430 Short Magnetic Locator will sense concealed or buried ferrous metal objects such as corner markers, well castings, Magnails, P-K masonry nails, monument spikes, buried or concealed fencing, etc. The 40-6430 Magnetic Locator will withstand the most severe field environments and can be used submerged underwater to a depth of 75 feet. It is very sensitive with eight settings. Its shorter length enables easy handling when used for security screening..

Johnson Level 40-6430 Short Magnetic Locator Features:

  • LCD will flash if low battery
  • A signaling mode that sounds with a varying pitch.  The audio output is boosted with a moving coil speaker.
  • Sensor tube is tested to be waterproof in depths up to 75 feet.
  • Uncomplicated, single-handed, four-button keypad operation:
    • ---Zero Button adjusts the unit for magnetic anomalies such as a magnetic gradient
    ---On/Off switch
    ---Gain Down Button decreases the sensitivity eight increments
    ---Gain Up Button increases the sensitivity eight increments
  • Made to withstand the grueling field conditions
